The lawn-mowing weather app

Know when to mow — and when to skip.

Knowday watches the dry grass, the firm ground, and the closing dry window, then just tells you when today is a good day to mow.

What matters for mowing

The reads that decide a cut.

Mow before the rain

Mow soon

Knowday spots the closing dry window. Rain starts Thursday — so it tells you to catch today, not guess at the radar.

Dry grass, firm ground

Firm

Mowing a soggy lawn clumps, ruts, and tears the grass. Knowday models the soil near you and calls a hard Skip when the ground's too soft to hold the mower.

How fast it's drying out

Drying

After rain, Knowday reads how fast the lawn is drying — slow, normal, or fast — so you know whether it's a day or two until it's mow-ready.

Too hot to cut

Heat

Cutting in real heat stresses the grass. Pushing 90°, Knowday says cut high and easy — or wait for cooler air.

How it works

How Knowday thinks about mowing.

It models the soil moisture, the last day's rain, the dry window before the next rain, the heat, and the wind — and reads how fast the lawn's drying after a soak.

Everything is modeled near you, not measured in your yard, so shady low corners stay wet longer than the read suggests. And let the morning dew burn off first — wet grass clumps and clogs the deck.

Mowing is one of fourteen plans Knowday reads — walks and rides, the lawn, the garden, camping, the night sky, and the water.
